Katy IBCLC Student

Katy has spent over 25 years as a dental hygienist, developing a deep understanding of airway health, facial growth, and jaw development. Through her work in dentistry, she became increasingly aware of how foundational breastfeeding is—not just for bonding between mom and baby, but also for promoting optimal oral and craniofacial development.

Her transition into lactation consulting felt like a natural next step. Several years ago, Katy met Lynnelle while caring for a baby at the dental office. She was fascinated by the gentle, hands-on work Lynnelle was doing—something she later discovered was craniosacral therapy. That moment sparked a deeper curiosity and passion for infant care that continues to grow.

Katy also brings her own motherhood experience to the table. Having faced breastfeeding challenges herself, she deeply understands the emotional and physical toll it can take. Her journey inspired her to walk alongside other moms—offering support, knowledge, and encouragement during what can be a very vulnerable season. Katy considers it an honor to serve a mom and baby during this sacred time of connection and growth.

Katy grew up in Idaho and has loved raising her family in the same beautiful place that shaped her. Her clinical background, personal insight, and heart for her patients make her an invaluable part of the Family Seasons team.

She has been married to her husband, Rob, for 20 years. They have two children—an 18-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son. As a close-knit family, they love spending time together. Katy enjoys skiing, taking her goldendoodle on walks, and cheering on her kids while they play the sports that they love!
